Hosted virtually via Zoom on October 19, 2026, from 10 AM to 12 PM MT.
Session Overview
Why does psychological safety matter? Psychological safety directly impacts staff retention, quality of care, and organizational liability. When workers feel unsafe psychologically, we see burnout, disengagement, errors in judgement, injuries, and high turnover. Workplace violence, harassment, and psychological harm remain ongoing risks with the disability services. While most organizations have policy and OHS resources in place, translating these tools into consistent, practical action can be challenging.
This session explores how disability service providers can move beyond compliance towards meaningful psychological safety in the workplace. The goal is to have systems in place that support staff before, during, and after the incident. This session is designed for disability service agencies looking to build practical, scalable approaches to risk mitigation and psychological safety, especially in organizations where safety practices are developing or resources are limited.
