Introduction to Positive Behavior Supports Training (Virtual)

Hosted virtually via Zoom on July 29, 30, and 31, 2025, from 9 AM to 12 PM MDT.

The Alberta Council of Disability Services (ACDS) is offering an instructor-led Introduction to Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) training. This course meets the accreditation CET Standards criteria and equips participants with foundational knowledge in behavior supports.

Training Overview

• Module 1: Person-Centered Behavior Supports

• Module 2: Ethics in Behavior

• Module 3: Behavior in Context

• Module 4: Support Strategies

• Final Assessment: Completion required for certification

Fees

• ACDS Members: $250 + GST per learner; $100 + GST for PDD-contracted organizations

  Non-members: $325 + GST per learner; $175 + GST for PDD-contracted organizations

PDD-contracted organizations: May be eligible for a sector support subsidy of $150 per learner, applied at invoicing (while funds last).

Additional Details

• The training is capped at 20 learners.

• The electronic PBS manual will be provided after registration confirmation.

• Zoom links will be sent 48 hours before the training.

• Upon successful completion, participants will receive an ACDS PBS Certificate of Completion.
